Why am I unable to browse the new or latest web page?

In order to increase the speed of visiting web pages, the Internet Explorer browser will use the method of cumulative acceleration and store the web page content (including images, cookies, etc.) you have previously visited on your computer. This storage space is known as the IE cache. For each subsequent visit to a website, IE will first search this directory. If the visited content already exists, then IE will not need to download it from the Internet. It can directly retrieve it from the cache and this thus increases the speed of browsing websites.

Although the cache increases the speed of visiting web pages, it results in the latest data not being received very quickly when some web pages get updated. Therefore, we need to regularly clear the cache of the browser. The method is as follows:

1. Open the IE browser and click on the “Tools” menu on the menu bar. Select “Internet Options” to open the dialog box for Internet options. We can see the “Temporary Internet Files” section under the “General” tab. Click on the “Delete Cookies” button.

2. After clicking on “Delete Cookies”, a prompt “Delete all cookies in the temporary Internet files folder?” will pop up. Directly click “Confirm”.

3. After deleting the cookies, click on the “Delete Files” button and the dialog box prompt to delete files will pop up. Select “Delete all offline content” and click “Confirm”. After deleting the offline content, click “Apply” and then “Confirm”. Close all the IE windows and restart the browser. Your IE cache is now cleared.
